School's Out!!

On June 7th, 2007 at 12:01 pm all you 7th graders will become 8th graders! Congratulations on surviving the seventh grade. I enjoyed getting to know all of you this year. Keep in touch with me (and your classmates) throughout the summer by posting about your experiences. Are you going anywhere? Are you doing anything fun and/or exciting? Did you unexpectedly run into someone from Lab? Any amusing stories to share? Have a fun summer!

  • Hi Everyone!

I hope all of you are enjoying your summer vacations! I'm off to Turkey for a few weeks and then I'll be back helping out with Summer Lab. I've seen a few of you out & about in Hyde Park-- it looks like summer is off to a good start!

  • im comparing the to stories if two kinds and the storie of sylvia

the reason im comparing these is because i feel like there both getting stuck in the box and for each story therers a different reason for each for the two kinds i feel like her mom lost all her dreams and everything she had and so she wants her daughter not to mess up like she did so shes like coaching her and telling her to be a prodigy and shes forcing her to do things she doesnt want to do and shes trying to take her out of the box by making her get out of the box and shes being so demanding that amie is just stuck in the box because shes so demanding and wants her daughter to do her dream.same with sylvia because her mom is just telling her that she cant get a degree or anything like that and all shes doing is telling her all shes wertthie for is cleaning

  • two kinds and blake white and jeweish have the same consept of being in a box. In two kinds, the narrator does not know who she realy is because her mother wants her to be something she was not and getes out of this box when she gets older and her mother dies it seems like the box died with the mom, and in Blake, White, and jeweish the narrator is trying to become something she is not by put her own self a box to be like the other kids in her class and so a boy will like her.
