In the interview Yang discusses his process for writing the graphic novel and how some of the stories presented are semi-autobiographical. There is also an accompanying audio slideshow that presents excerpts from the book.

In the two stories "Theme for English B" and"Sylvia's Story" the main two people have external and internal forces keeping them in boxes. In both stories I think that they both will get out of the their boxes.In both stories also they both are in their boxes because of their race. They both find them selves in boxes because they want to make a change against society and there families.
